Bye 2023, Welcome 2024 :3

I've been wanting to make a restrospective post and air out some thoughts but I both suck at writing these and gave up on blog posts a while ago lol. 2023 has been the most challenging year as of yet in my personal life as well as in maintaining my online presence.

Before I go about summarizing what I have achieved this year, I wanted to talk a little bit about the future of my music and my activity on this site. Since October, I've been struggling with motivation to keep making music due to some sort of realization. When I first started uploading songs to the audio portal, I set some goals in mind to accomplish that, at the time, seemed like very distant and nigh impossible targets that existed in my mind only for a sense of progression and improvement over time, but now.. I reached all of my goals, which left me feeling a heavy apathy towards any kind of content creation and made me really disappointed with some of my (mostly unreleased) tracks. I haven't had any fun creating for a while now, due to a lack of creativity and skill, however.. for 2024 I plan on setting new goals and taking a more laid back approach to making music, hopefully increasing the quality and the creativity in my works:3

With all of the yappin' out of the way, here's some cool stuff i made this year!

Behold! my stuff :D

I went from making my usual Hip-Hop/Lo-Fi beats

...to making Synthwave (with some House vibes)!

At the beginning of the year, I released a Future Bass-y kind of track:

And I also started a new YouTube channel, @caspersjamsessions which you should totally go and subscribe to, where I made the "oof" sound from roblox into a Drum & Bass track!

Eventually, going from Hip Hop to Synthwave, I ended up making full on Electronic House tracks:

I'll try being more active on my youtube channel, focusing more on some obscure and unique challenges, as well as some parodies;

Not only that but I would also like to be more active on Newgrounds, engaging more with the community!

With January approaching, I will try and participate in @droid 's annual #Jamuary challenge, where you make a song each day for the whole month! With this opportunity, I'll try to explore more ideas and overall have more fun with production, hopefully mainting the quality all throughout:3
